Use Your Voice! Afterschool Leaders as Change Agents
Program directors can play a critical role in mobilizing communities by leveraging their talents, resources and relationships toward creating community change that will address the issues undermining their communities’ stability. This session encourages afterschool program leaders to seize their roles and activate change for kids, families and communities by giving them concrete tips and practice in public speaking to build partnerships.
Participants will leave with:
- A clear, inspirational vision of their role as a community leader and as an advocate for kids and families
- A framework to create an effective oral presentation that build partnerships within their communities
- An understanding and practice of effective public speaking skills
We've done this session for the 21st CCLC National Conference, 21st CCLC grantees in Maine and others!
