Retreats
There are times when it´s helpful to get away from your daily surroundings in order to work on various organizational issues. Retreats are an excellent way to renew commitment and re-establish direction within your organization. Development Without Limits will design, plan, and facilitate a retreat specifically tailored to address your organization´s needs, including helping your group create organizational and programmatic visions, develop goals and strategies, explore issues, and foster collaborative processes for your group.
Literacy & Math Enrichment Curriculum
Working closely with the Developmental Studies Center, we provide professional development for two exciting, research-based afterschool programs
- AfterSchool KidzLit is an exciting, flexible literacy program that´s being used - and praised - at hundreds of afterschool sites nationwide. AfterSchool KidzLit helps motivate kids (grades K-8) to learn by showing them that reading isn´t just something they do in school, but something that has real value in every part of their lives.
- AfterSchool KidzMath is an engaging program designed to provide opportunities for children in grades K-6 to use mathematics in settings outside of the classroom. The games and activities help children learn key math skills while having fun. To meet the unique needs of afterschool programs, the activities are designed for both large and small groups, require few materials, and can be used in structured or unstructured settings.
- NEW!
Real Stories
Motivate Middle and High School Students to Read, Think, Explore Ideas and Form Values Outside the Classroom
Even teens who “hate to read” will be drawn in by Real Stories, a new afterschool and summer curriculum that uses stories written by teens and young adult novels to engage teens in a wealth of activities – including role plays, experiential games, debates, and more – that make it fun for teens to read the stories and explore the themes.

partnered with Forest Hills Community House and South Asian Youth Action
