AfterSchool KidzLit is an exciting, flexible literacy program that’s being used – and praised – at hundreds of afterschool sites nationwide. AfterSchool KidzLit helps motivate kids (grades K-8) to learn by showing them that reading isn´t just something they do in school, but something that has real value in every part of their lives.
Working closely with the Developmental Studies Center, we provide direct service and professional development for this engaging, research-based afterschool program.
Development Without Limits can work directly with your youth participants to provide your organization with a dynamic and educational afterschool literacy experience. To get this most out of this experience, this can also serve as a modeling and mentoring experience for staff.
Development Without Limits provides professional development and technical assistance for afterschool programs to help get KidzLit started, or to rejuvenate an existing program with new strategies and resources.
Professional development services can be packaged in a way that best meets the needs of your agency. We offer half-day and full-day workshops that introduce the KidzLit model and strategies, along with technical assistance site visits to support the successful implementation of the program at your site.
